HistData.com – Free Forex Data Distribution Site

HistData.com is a site where a team of investors share the data they have collected and organized for themselves for free. data can be downloaded in MT4/MT5/Excel/ASCII etc. formats.
It seems that it is possible to retrieve data via FTP or SFTP for a fee.
How to use
Go to Download Free Forex Data at HistData.com.
When you select the download format, you will be taken to the screen to select the currency pair.
Data for the most recent year is provided on a monthly basis, and data for earlier years is provided on a yearly basis.
When the Zip file selection screen appears, click on the file name written in “Download Historical Data Here:” to download the Zip file.
The Zip file contains a data file (.csv, etc.) and a status report (.txt), and if there are any missing data, you can check the status report for time gaps and other information.
Conclusion
Being able to use data that is actually used by a team of investors is reassuring in that the data is reliable.
The period of data is longer and the level of detail can be obtained at a more detailed level than that provided by brokerage firms.
The status report will also help in terms of reviewing the analysis data.
I have the impression that the site is quite slow to display (probably because of the server location). Also, depending on your browser or device, there may be cases where the data cannot be downloaded correctly. When I downloaded it on my phone, it was an empty zip file, but when I changed browsers, I was able to get the data correctly.
